Forties Fun at Ferndale

Clevedon Historical Experience & Barbeque Lunch

February 20th 2010, 9am - 3pm
itinerary:
Arrive at McNicol Homestead, McNicol Road, Clevedon Village at 9am. Look at McNicol Homestead, have morning tea and meet Warren Shaw of the Clevedon and Districts Historical Society, who will lead the tour to the three Anglican churches in the area from 9am to 10am. Then drive to All Souls' Anglican Church in Clevedon Village 10am to 10:10am. View church until 10:40am. Drive to Saint James' Anglican Church in Ardmore and view from 10:50am to 11:20am. Drive to Christ's Anglican Church in Alfriston and view from 11:30am to midday. Drive to Mark Balemi's place for the Auckland Steam Engine Society's Festival at midday - there will be a barbecue lunch, viewing displays of working steam engines etc and travelling along the Wairoa River in steam boats until 3pm.
